Project Focus
Employment of a MHLO who works with QHMHS staff and GPs to improve communication processes between providers and in general, but in particular around discharge and admission to the mental health service. Provision of a comprehensive training program for GPs and local public and private mental health community service providers to improve service provision, coordination and integration in Townsville.
Work Completed
Meeting monthly between the QHMHS and the division to progress project plan business
MHLO (or equivalent) attendance at the CATT meetings and discharge meetings to facilitate consumer discharge into the community or admission into the integrated mental health service.
Assistance with GPs referrals into CATT for assessments and treatment.
Currently recruiting for the MHLO position with the goal of achieving a shared staff arrangement with the QHMHS.
Update of the memorandum of understanding between TGPN and TQHMHS.
